DHI Communities is a division of D.R. Horton focused on multifamily development.

Position: Community Manager - Property Management

The successful candidate will oversee daily operations of the community, including staff management, community standards, marketing, resident satisfaction, financial management, and lease documentation compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise on-site staff, support training, evaluate performance, and manage timesheets.
  • Promote quality and process improvements, set quality standards.
  • Provide feedback, manage disciplinary actions, and handle terminations if necessary.
  • Oversee leasing and maintenance activities to ensure policy compliance.
  • Analyze performance data to develop community strategies.
  • Conduct staff training on leasing, safety, and daily operations.
  • Participate in leasing, resident retention, and renewal processes.
  • Maintain high standards of resident service and safety.
  • Manage vendor relationships, secure bids, review invoices, and assist with budgets.
  • Prepare financial reports and manage collections and delinquencies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct community inspections and ensure safety, cleanliness, and appearance standards.
  • Maintain communication with stakeholders and handle escalated resident issues.
  • Travel overnight as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Supervise two or more employees.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Five years of related leasing or property management experience.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Leadership and team-building skills.
  • Goal setting, planning, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with property management software and MS Office.
  • Physical ability to perform job duties.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
