Description

Welcome to InTown Suites! We are currently seeking a Property Maintenance Technician at one of our hotel properties. The Property Maintenance Technician will be responsible for daily upkeep of the property, including monitoring, maintaining, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on hotel property and equipment. He/She is required to live on the property, must be on call for emergency situations, and will also work as the Property Attendant one or two days a week, as determined by the General Manager/Regional Operations Manager. Job Responsibilities

• Ensure the building and grounds are clean, maintained, and free of clutter by picking up trash/debris and cleaning siding and walkways.
• Ensure vacant rooms are in good repair, including walls, appliances, furniture, carpet, and cabinets.
• Conduct maintenance room punch, including drywall repairs, painting, general repairs, and carpet shampooing.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of guest rooms.
• Respond to service requests promptly.
• Respond to emergency calls in a timely manner.
• Maintain interior hallway carpets.
• Notify Supervisor immediately of safety or security violations.
• Notify Supervisor of guest concerns.
• Reconcile daily paperwork with supervisor before the end of shift.
• Perform tasks outlined in the Property Attendant Job Description, Guest Agreement, and Property Maintenance Technician Resident and On-Call Agreement.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Skills/Experience

• Ability to read, speak, write, and understand English for effective communication.
• Ability to organize and work with limited supervision.
• Ability to manage multiple activities, often under stress.
• Knowledge of air conditioning systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
• Ability to troubleshoot general maintenance issues, identify parts, and interpret manufacturer instructions.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and components, including proper wire and fuse sizing.
• Skill in operating hand and power tools, and testing equipment.

Mental and Physical Demands

• Work on uneven surfaces in various weather conditions, climb ladders up to 30 feet.
• Work indoors and outdoors, exposure to extreme temperatures.
• Work long hours, including weekends if needed.
• Frequent walking, standing, climbing, and lifting over 50 lbs.
