Job summary

Grand Forks Housing Authority is seeking a Maintenance Technician/Painter to support multiple GFHA properties with repairs, preventative maintenance, and interior painting. You will prepare units, perform repairs, and ensure facilities are safe and well-maintained for residents and staff.

Under supervision, you will work with a team to complete required tasks, manage work orders, and participate in an on-call schedule. Valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 75 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in building maintenance or a related field.
• Experience with minor plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall, HVAC, and appliance repair; interior painting from masking to finishing.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance across GFHA properties.
• Inspect and maintain mechanical equipment (motors, pumps, switches).
• Repair, renovate, and interior paint rental units between occupancies.
• Carry out interior painting from masking through finishing and touch-ups.
