Job summary

Kittle Property Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join its property management team. You will perform on-site maintenance, respond to service requests, and help present the community in a professional manner.

Responsibilities include inspecting grounds, completing preventive maintenance, addressing vacancies, coordinating with vendors, and keeping records for all units and common areas. A GED or HS diploma and 1 year of experience are preferred, HVAC certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• 1 year of maintenance experience is preferred.
• HVAC/EPA certification is preferred.
• Language skills: read, write, speak and interpret basic instructions and simple correspondence.
• Math skills: basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division by 10s and 100s.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook and MS Word is expected.

Responsibilities

• Monitor maintenance expenses and ensure they stay below budget.
• Inspect community grounds each morning.
• Perform turn including painting and maintenance of vacant units.
• Complete maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities.
• Maintain landscaping and snow removal operations.
• Keep records of maintenance performed in all units and at the site.
• Supervise contractors on site and provide emergency resident support after hours.
