Job summary

Billingsley Collection is seeking a Service Technician I to help maintain the safety, appearance, and functionality of its properties in Plano, Texas. You will perform a range of maintenance tasks across grounds, pools, housekeeping, and preventive and corrective maintenance within a multi‑tenant community.

The role requires willingness to learn, EPA certification, and the ability to work on call, overtime, and weekends.

Qualifications

• EPA certification.
• Willingness to learn and grow from Supervisor and trainings offered through Billingsley.
• Fundamentals of mechanical systems.
• Able to organize, prioritize and plan your day.
• Assists and performs all aspects of the property’s maintenance, including grounds, pools, housekeeping, preventative, corrective, deferred, and emergency maintenance.
• Common use of computer skills; and able to use a smart phone.
• Ability to use hand tools normally used in construction, maintenance and landscaping including all chemicals associated with maintenance and landscaping essential job functions.
• Ability to properly utilize hand and power tools including but not limited to circular saw, power drill, bench grinder, hedge trimmer, key machine, paint sprayer and power floor cleaner.
• Ability to use motorized vehicles/golf cart.
• Able to work on call shifts, overtime, and weekend hours.
• Willingness to wear company‑provided uniform during working hours.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and use proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Maintain property curb appeal
• Assist and performs all aspects of the property’s maintenance, including grounds, housekeeping, preventative, corrective, deferred, and emergency maintenance.
• Interior common area and exterior maintenance
• Work may include accessing flats or low slope roofs, attics, crawl spaces and use of ladders
• Manage recycling and trash, including trash enclosures and compactor rooms
• Assist with weather‑related cleanup, including snow and ice management
• Amenity and common area cleaning
• Uphold appearance grounds and common areas
• Perform make‑ready, including cleaning and painting (full and touch‑up painting interior walls, exterior walls, doors, etc.)
• Perform light audits and light bulb replacement
• Maintain and inspect shop, storerooms, equipment, and golf carts
• Attend associate meetings, safety meetings, and required training
• Assist at other communities as requested
• Clean, vacuum & balance pools
• Other duties as assigned
