Job summary

Sterling Asset Management Corporation is seeking a Maintenance Technician to provide hands-on maintenance and support for our residential communities in Sacramento. The role includes executing preventive maintenance, completing repairs, and assisting with operations to keep properties safe and in top condition.

Responsibilities include maintaining apartment turnover, following safety standards, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

Patience and understanding when working with disabled adults, mentally ill clients, or individuals transitioning to housing.
Outstanding customer service and ability to communicate with tenants, peers, and management.
Strong written and verbal communication; ability to document issues and follow up.
Calm demeanor in emergencies and ability to work under pressure.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment.
Repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances as needed.
Manage make-ready and turnover processes to ensure apartments are ready to lease.
Record, track, and complete work orders in the Yardi system within timelines.
Work with third-party contractors and vendors for property maintenance and renovations.
