Job summary

Opportunity Home San Antonio seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform repairs and maintenance of buildings and units under supervision. You will use hand and power tools to conduct electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks, and assist with make-ready activities and resident events.

Qualifications

• One year of general maintenance experience.
• Must learn cloud applications such as Google GSuite and Microsoft Office 365.
• Background check, education and work history verification, and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots repairs or replaces wiring and parts for outlets, switches, fixtures and fittings.
• Performs carpentry, electrical and plumbing repairs of average difficulty.
• Maintains grounds and cleans common areas to standards.
• Paints and prepares surfaces for finishing; uses ladders and basic painting tools.
• Performs make-ready maintenance and assists with resident events as needed.
