Job summary

RHP Properties in Austin, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to handle general grounds and lawn maintenance plus basic repairs to community homes. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring a hands-on approach and reliable attendance.

You will execute work orders, coordinate with the Community Manager, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for residents by performing routine upkeep and seasonal tasks across the community.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC and carpentry.
• May need to provide own tools.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform general grounds and lawn maintenance and basic repairs to homes.
• Execute work orders and report status to the Community Manager.
• Promote courtesy and safety when interacting with residents and staff.
• Identify deficiencies and take action with manager approval.
• Manicure community grounds, trim hedges, weed control, and seasonal plantings.
• Remove garbage from grounds and resident sites as needed.
• Assist with snow removal and seasonal upkeep.
• Maintain inventory of maintenance equipment and supplies.
• Maintain order of garages and storage areas.
• Operate maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
