Job summary

Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer (QPWB) seeks experienced attorneys for the Property and Liability Coverage Practice Group. The role focuses on advising insurers and clients on coverage obligations, drafting opinions, and litigating coverage claims in a variety of settings.

The ideal candidate is admitted to practice law with 3–10 years of relevant experience, strong research and writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines while communicating effectively with clients.

Qualifications

• Admitted to practice law.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience in litigation management and courtroom proceedings preferred.
• Excellent communication and client-relations skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and interpret commercial and residential property and general liability insurance policies.
• Draft detailed and well-reasoned coverage opinions, reservation of rights letters, and declination letters.
• Advise insurers and clients on coverage obligations and potential exposure.
• Handle and manage coverage litigation from inception through resolution, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings, including depositions and hearings.
• Stay current on relevant legal developments, case law, and regulatory changes affecting property and liability coverage.
• Collaborate with claims professionals, risk managers, and other attorneys within the firm or insurance companies.
• Participate in internal training and external client presentations on insurance coverage issues.
