Property Field Claims Representative - Kentucky

Location: Elizabethtown and Glasgow, KY

POSITION SUMMARY:

Countryway is seeking a customer-focused Property Field Claims Representative to join our claims team. The PFCR handles property damage and liability claims, providing efficient settlements in accordance with company procedures and standards.

LOCATION

Field-based position in Kentucky, in and around Elizabethtown and Glasgow. Company auto provided with covered gas, insurance, and maintenance.

POSITION

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Full-time salaried position with benefits.

PRIMARY DUTIES

1. Investigate all assigned losses.
2. Comply with company policies and procedures in handling all losses and other matters.
3. Report all activity on claim files promptly.
4. Respond promptly to all complaints as requested.
5. Evaluate and estimate claims using photos, measurements, estimating platforms, and other resources.
6. Assign claims to Independent Adjusters as required.
7. Advise the Underwriting Department on potential adverse risks.
8. Comply with Unfair Claim Settlement Practices Act.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

• Assist and guide other claim personnel as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• College degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant property insurance claims experience.
• Completion of AIC, CPCU, or SCLA designation within 3 years of start date.

MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in Xactimate.
• Good understanding of building components.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong investigation and settlement skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• High level of initiative and self-motivation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5 years of previous property claims experience.
• Knowledge of insurance contracts.
• Experience with casualty insurance claims.
