• 8+ years of comprehensive accounting experience, preferably in commercial real estate.
• Proficiency in MRI or Yardi required.
• Progressively responsible supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and direction to property accounting in line with company policies.
• Review lease structures, transactions, and ownership structures for GAAP/IFRS compliance.
• Present quarterly revenue, NOI and depreciation variance analyses to executives.
• Review and approve quarterly and annual financial statements for external parties.
• Ensure leasing transactions comply with internal policies and GAAP/IFRS.
• Oversee tenant operating and tax escalations throughout annual cycle.
• Coordinate transitions of acquisitions, dispositions and new developments.
• Ensure adherence to management, development, mortgage agreements.
• Manage tenant audits from inquiry to conclusion.

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Property Controller in Burlington, MA. Summary: We are seeking a results-driven Controller to join our company. The position reports to the Senior Vice President of Accounting & Finance and oversees the day-to-day property accounting at Company. As a Property Controller, you will be responsible for all aspects of the accounting assigned portfolio of properties. You will oversee, monitor and facilitate all financial matters including internal and external financial reporting and quarterly close deliverables. Essential Functions:

• Provide oversight and direction to property accounting area in accordance with the company's policies and procedures
• Review of lease structures, transactions and ownership structures adhere to internal policies and procedures and comply with reporting requirements
• Review and present quarterly revenue, NOI and depreciation variance analysis to executive and senior management
• Final review and approval of quarterly and annual financial statements and other reporting requirements for external parties (joint venture, lender, third party)
• Review of all leasing transactions to ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures and compliance with GAAP and/or IFRS requirements
• Review of tenant operating and tax escalations throughout annual cycle (monthly estimates, quarterly true ups and annual true-up)
• Responsible for, and coordinate the transition of all acquisition, dispositions and new developments
• Ensure all accounting complies with all management, development, mortgage and other agreements
• Manage all tenant audits from initial inquiry to conclusion including review of any correspondence with the tenants and the Regional support team (Property Management, Legal, and Leasing)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting; CPA a plus
• Ideally 8+ years of comprehensive accounting experience required; Previous accounting experience in commercial real estate settings or related industries preferred
• Proficiency in MRI or Yardi
• Proven organizational skills
• Self-starter capable of finding solutions with minimal supervision
• Progressively responsible supervisory experience preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
