Bridge Specialty Group is seeking a Property & Casualty Broker to join our growing team in Morristown, NJ. The Commercial Lines P&C Broker will gain technical knowledge and internal processes necessary to be effective in a Broker or Binding Authority Underwriter role.

The broker is responsible for achieving incremental sales goals and participating in training opportunities. Pay range is $75k–$200k annually based on experience and geography.

Qualifications

• Valid P&C license.
• Bachelor's Degree from a four‑year college or university or equivalent industry experience.
• 0–5 years of experience in a similar position.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Exceptional telephone demeanor.
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Responsabilités

• Develop skills to interact with company and retail agent personnel diplomatically and knowledgeably to establish positive relationships, increase revenues, and retain policies upon expiration.
• Build relationships with insurance agents, brokers, and carriers through sponsored events, internal and external sales meetings.
• Examine application forms, inspection reports, insurance maps, and medical reports to determine risk factors.
• Request additional information if necessary; accept or reject risks in conformance with company guidelines.
• Review, analyze, and underwrite risks submitted by Producers; rate submissions for premium and terms; analyze exposures for quotes for new and renewal business.
• Issue written indications, quotes, and binders; use inspection companies to obtain further information or explain underwriting policies.
• Process new business in a timely and efficient manner to grow revenues and maintain retention and profitability.
• Leverage mentorship relationships when marketing and meeting with retail agency customers to develop business and cultivate relationships.
• Foster and improve relationships with other departments, producers, companies, and competitors.
• Develop a thorough understanding of internal operations to extend company facilities, utilizing binding authorities or brokering risks to negotiate placements.
• Complete and pass assigned educational courses, professional designations, and license examinations.
