Job summary

Accessible Space in Santa Fe, NM is seeking a full-time Property Caretaker/Maintenance for our apartment building. The role covers cleaning, basic repairs, turnovers, and routine maintenance to keep the property safe and inviting.

The position offers a rent-free caretakers unit and a schedule Monday–Friday, 7am–6pm, with after-hours emergency support as needed. Candidates should be able to work independently and communicate clearly.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in performing minor building and maintenance repairs
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to effectively and appropriately interact with individuals
• Availability to complete general work responsibilities Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am and 6pm

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Complete minor building and unit maintenance repairs
• Do all duties related to unit turnovers
• Carry out ongoing routine maintenance and prevention checks
• Implement required unit and building inspections
• Perform routine errands
• Obtain bids on contracted maintenance and repair work
• Answer after‑hours emergency calls promptly (within 15 minutes) and take appropriate action, when necessary.
