Qualifications

• Associate's or Technical degree in appraisal, finance, construction technology, or a closely related field and one year of appraisal experience.
• Bachelor's degree and at least one year of appraisal experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Reads maps and aerial photographs to locate and identify taxable real and personal property for valuation.
• Collects data from the public and other offices, reviews market data, and inventories property for assessment.
• Assists in establishing appraised values using cost, income, or sales comparison approaches.
• Represents the County in Board of Equalization hearings and defends assessed values.
