The Augusta--richmond-County is seeking a Property Appraiser I to locate and appraise tangible and personal property for ad valorem taxation in Richmond County, GA. You will work with taxpayers, attorneys, and staff to provide accurate records and respond to valuation inquiries.

Responsibilities include routine appraisals, data collection, field inspections, and preparation for appeal hearings, with travel to various locations as needed.

Formación

• Two years of increasingly responsible experience in property appraisal preferred.
• Certification by the Georgia Department of Revenue as an Appraiser I required or pursued.
• Travel from office to other locations will be required.

Responsabilidades

• Locates and appraises tangible and personal property for ad valorem taxation.
• Conducts routine property appraisals and prepares data for appeal hearings.
• Assists property owners and public with appraisal methodology and valuation questions.
• Performs field inspections, verifies data, and audits records.
• Maintains records and interprets deeds, maps, and property data.
