Job summary

Champaign County Supervisor of Assessments office seeks a full-time Assistant Deputy/Appraiser Analyst to support administrative, fiscal, and clerical functions while developing appraisals of residential and commercial properties.

You will assist township assessors, train staff on CAMA software, and help prepare statistical reports; CIAO credential within 1 year is required/needed, and continuing education is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of responsible administrative experience.
• Ability to interpret statutes and regulations pertaining to property assessment.
• CIAO designation to be completed within 1 year of hire; continuing Education required.

Responsibilities

• Develops appraisals of residential and commercial properties.
• Assists Township Assessors with yearly and quadrennial assessments.
• Trains assessors in technical duties and CAMA usage.
• Coordinates and distributes work to clerical staff.
• Assists property owners to resolve complaints and questions about taxes and values.
