IMA Financial Group, Inc. in Pasadena, CA is offering a 2027 summer internship in the Property and Casualty group. The role provides hands-on involvement in department projects and shadowing opportunities, with in-office work five days a week.

You should be pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree related to business, finance, accounting, risk management or insurance, with graduation anticipated Spring 2027, December 2027, or Spring 2028. Prior professional services experience is a plus.

• Participate in shadowing opportunities to learn departmental functions and enhance industry knowledge
• Work with the Shared Services Analysts to perform agency management system tasks and client servicing activities
• Support service teams by assisting with day-to-day operational tasks and job-related duties
• Introductions and engagement opportunities with the Producers/Sales Department
• Gain exposure to cross-functional operations by participating in meetings with associates from other departments

As an intern, your time will be divided between a core program shared with the entire cohort and specialized work, projects, and programming tailored to the department you join.

The Property and Casualty team is excited to announce an incredible opportunity for an intern in our 2027 summer program! This role offers the chance to gain valuable experience at our Pasadena office, under a typical 5 days in-office work week.

Daily responsibilities will include:

• Ability to work in-office Monday through Friday at our Pasadena, CA location

You Should Have:

• Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in a program related to one of our host departments (Business, Finance, Accounting, Risk Management and Insurance)
• Interest in insurance-related roles; involvement in insurance clubs or Gamma Iota Sigma

• Previous work or internship experience in a professional services or similar environment
• An entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to problem-solve, think critical, and provide creative solutions

Benefits:

This internship is designed as a learning and development opportunity and does not include participation in the medical, dental, and vision insurance, and any other benefits program that are provided solely to regular full-time associates. You will, however, enjoy IMA paid holidays and five days of LifeBalance PTO during your internship. The LifeBalance PTO is inclusive of vacation, sick time or personal time.

Compensation:

This position is classified as nonexempt and is paid on an hourly basis. The hourly pay range for IMA interns is 18.00 to 22.00 dollars and is determined by your expected graduating year. You will be paid for all hours worked and will remain eligible for overtime in accordance to federal and state wage and hour laws.
