Job summary

Pop-Up Talent is seeking a Staff Accountant in Indianapolis, IN to own day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties and ownership entities. The role emphasizes accuracy, deadlines, and clean entity books across ~40 properties and 15 entities.

You will deliver timely monthly financial packages to owners, support budgets, CAM reconciliations, and audits, and you will work within an accounting department focused on internal controls and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, including month-end close and reconciliations.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual-basis accounting.
• Proficiency in Excel with lookups, pivots, and reconciliations.
• Ability to manage multiple entities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger for an assigned portfolio of properties and ownership entities.
• Record journal entries for accruals, prepaids, depreciation, amortization and intercompany activity.
• Post tenant receipts, monitor delinquencies and prepare aged receivables reports.
• Process vendor invoices and cash disbursements; manage W-9s and insurance certificates.
• Complete monthly bank, balance sheet and loan reconciliations; prepare owner reporting packages.
• Assist with CAM reconciliations, budgeting, and audits.
