Job summary

Regency Centers seeks a Property Accounting Manager for our Jacksonville, FL corporate office. This hybrid role oversees General Ledger Property Accountants, ensuring timely, accurate financial statements and close processes.

The ideal candidate has a accounting degree, 4+ years of accounting experience, and 1–2 years of management experience, with CPA preferred. JD Edwards and MS Office proficiency are valued as part of a strong technical foundation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related discipline
• CPA or actively pursuing CPA, preferred
• At least 4 years of accounting experience
• 1-2 years of management experience preferred
• Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite preferred
• Intermediate level proficiency with JD Edwards (or related accounting software), preferred
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• GAAP knowledge and ability to review leases for financial impacts

Responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day activities of the General Ledger Property Accountants within a Division to ensure timely and accurate completion of journal entries, real estate taxes, insurance, operating expense accruals, manual bills, disputes, re-classes, percentage rent, acquisitions/dispositions, etc.
• Review and complete period-end activities, ensure complete and accurate financial statements, reconcile key balance sheet and income statement accounts, provide monthly summary of findings within Division to Property Controller.
• Act as primary contact and liaison for Property Management and Leasing teams for Accounting & Reporting; support stakeholders with appropriate accounting data; assist Tenant Account Specialists during disputes and collections; conduct monthly regional meetings.
• Provide leadership and guidance to Property Accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance; coach and develop skills; align with organizational objectives.
• Focus on upskilling to harness technology solutions and analytics tools; share knowledge to build a technically proficient and strategically focused team.
