Cogir Management USA, Inc. in Scottsdale, AZ seeks a Property Accounting Manager to lead the portfolio of 20+ senior living communities. You will oversee financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, and internal controls, reporting to the VP of Accounting.

You will manage a team of four senior accountants, coordinate across operations and regional leaders, and collaborate with corporate for intercompany and vendor matters. This role is office-based at the Scottsdale corporate office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 2–3 years overseeing real estate asset portfolios.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with intercompany accounting and consolidation.
• Excellent communication and management skills.
• Yardi experience preferred.
• Strong Excel skills.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and direct monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for 20+ senior living communities.
• Monthly review of financials for accuracy, accruals and timely resolution of accounting matters.
• Lead activities of the property accounting department, including interaction with operations teams and regional VPs.
• Interact with Corporate Accounting on billbacks, corporate invoicing and other vendor matters.
• Oversee monitoring, forecasting and reporting of cash flow activity to ownership groups.
• Oversee applicable distribution and contribution requirements.
• Assure adherence to internal controls.
• Interact with auditors to support timely audits of internal controls and financial statements.
• Other projects assigned.

Position Summary:

The Property Accounting Manager is responsible for financial reporting, cash management, adherence to company accounting policies and internal controls for a portfolio of 20+ senior living communities. The Property Accounting Manager will report to the VP of Accounting, and the position will be located at the Scottsdale, AZ corporate office.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of 4 Senior Accountants.

Position responsibilities:

• Coordinate and direct the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements for a portfolio of 20+ senior living communities.


• Monthly review of financials for accuracy, appropriate accruals and timely resolution of accounting matters.


• Lead activities of the property accounting department, including interaction with operations teams at the communities and regional VPs that contribute to the financial statements of the communities.


• Interaction with the Cogir Corporate Accounting Department related to the various billbacks, corporate invoicing and other vendor matters impacting the portfolio communities.


• Oversee the monitoring, forecasting and reporting of cash flow activity to ownership groups.


• Oversee applicable distribution and contribution requirements.


• Assure adherence to internal controls.


• Interact with Corporate and external auditors to support timely and accurate audits of internal controls and financial statements, if applicable.


• Other projects assigned.

Requirements

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting


• 2 to 3 years of experience overseeing a portfolio of real estate assets


• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures


• Experience with intercompany and multi-company accounting and consolidation


• Strong communication and management skills including the ability to drive collaboration and teamwork with the others within the organization


• Yardi experience preferred


• Strong Excel skills
