Job summary

Asana Partners seeks an Associate to join our Finance team in Charlotte. The role works closely with the CFO, Property Management, Investment Accounting, and Treasury to ensure timely and accurate accounting across a portfolio of investments.

You will participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, prepare financial statements, and support audits and internal controls while contributing to process improvements in the accounting function.

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting skills with knowledge of GAAP.
• Experience in commercial real estate including retail or mixed-use properties preferred.
• Excellence in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Working knowledge of Yardi and Argus Enterprise preferred.
• Demonstrates strong work ethic, independence and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate accounting for a portfolio of investments and perform related financial analysis.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and internal/external reporting.
• Assist with audit preparations and financial controls.
• Reconcile property ledgers and prepare property-level financial statements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency and onboarding/offboarding of properties in Yardi.
