Responsibilities
  • Manage third-party accounts, ensuring accurate recording of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities monthly.
  • Process banking transactions and perform internal audits for compliance.
  • Execute monthly closing tasks, including journal entries and reconciliations in accordance with GAAP.
  • Assist in budgeting and prepare initial property budgets.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, research discrepancies, and archive supporting documents.
  • Verify property delinquency reports, pre-paid rents, security deposits, and monitor refunds.
  • Manage property cash flow and accounts payable.
  • Support year-end audits and tax filings.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and process reserve draw requests.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with reporting obligations.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and team members.
Candidate Profile
  • Positive attitude and high energy
  • LIHTC/Rural Development experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, with 2+ years of property accounting experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Discretion handling sensitive information
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Yardi, Resman preferred
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
  • Reside in specified states (AZ, CO, FL, GA, KY, NM, NY, NC, PA, SC, TN, TX) for remote work
