Simpson Housing is seeking a Property Accountant for the Corporate Office in Denver with a hybrid work schedule. You will support accounting for multiple properties, maintain ledgers, and assist audits to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• 6 months accounting experience or internship.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficiency with MS Excel.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide accounting support for multiple properties in an assigned region.
• Maintain the general ledger and financial statements for properties.
• Complete monthly accounting activities including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and payable transactions.
• Review general ledger activity and financial reports for reasonableness and accuracy.
• Work with property teams to resolve accounting issues.
• Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with auditors.
