Bellwether Housing in Seattle seeks a Property Accountant to manage complex financial transactions for an assigned portfolio of affordable properties and ensure overall financial health in a collaborative team.

Salary: $81,100-$99,100/annually
The posted salary reflects the full pay range for this position. Offers made to qualified candidates will be made within this range and will be determined by various factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other factors that would be critical to success in this role.
Position Overview: As a Property Accountant, you'll be a key member of our accounting team. In this role, you will initiate, assist with, and complete the processing of complex financial and budget transactions and manage all accounting procedures for an assigned portfolio of affordable housing properties to ensure Bellwether Housing's overall financial health.
You will also be responsible for computing and processing closing entries, owning these processes, and producing reliable, timely audit and management reports, along with variance analyses. Additionally, you will coordinate the collections process for accounts receivable to maximize recovery. As a Property Accountant, you should possess a strong understanding of the accounting cycle and the US GAAP. The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and deep knowledge of affordable housing regulations, including LIHTC, HUD, and other federal subsidy program requirements.
Work Schedule: Hybrid, 3 days on-site. Monday-Friday, 9:00 am-5:00 pm. The final schedule is to be determined by the supervisor.
