Overview

Insight Global is seeking a full time Commercial Property Accountant to sit on-site five days a week at our Bronx, NY based client. This role is part of a Financial Reporting Team that ensures financial accuracy and transparency across a diverse real estate portfolio. You will be responsible for managing the accounting and reporting for approximately 20 commercial properties, each with unique operational and financial dynamics.

This position goes beyond routine bookkeeping and requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills who can interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. You will play a key role in preparing detailed financial statements, conducting in-depth variance analysis, and collaborating with property managers and leadership to drive informed decision-making.

Working with advanced tools like Yardi and Excel, you will manipulate complex data sets, reconcile accounts, and ensure compliance with GAAP standards. Your ability to explain variances and maintain financial integrity supports the long-term success of the property portfolio.

Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

Must-haves

• 5-7 years of professional experience as a Commercial Project Accountant
• Heavy variance analysis experience
• Experience managing roughly 15-20 commercial properties (NOTHING RESIDENTIAL. These are properties like medical, warehouse, retail, etc.)
• Experience with Yardi and Excel (VLOOKUPs and pivot tables to streamline processes and manipulate reports)

Day-to-Day

This role involves joining a Financial Reporting Team and managing accounting and reporting for approximately 20 commercial properties. You will interpret financial data, conduct variance analysis, and collaborate with property managers and leadership to drive informed decisions. Proficiency with Yardi and Excel is required to manipulate data, reconcile accounts, and ensure GAAP compliance.
