Job summary

Butch’s Propane LLC is seeking a professional Propane Transport Driver in Cheyenne, WY. You will drive a truck with GVW 26,000+ lbs to deliver propane to customers, following safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

You will handle documentation, use dispatch apps, and maintain customer relations while ensuring timely deliveries. Required are a Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements, three years of related experience, and strong basic math and communication skills.

Required to deliver propane to residentialand commercial customers in a safe and efficient manner. Requires a class A commercial drivers' license with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - ALL DRIVER POSITIONS (including Bobtail)****Essential Functions Statement(s)**- Check vehicles pre and post trip to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order(DVIRs).- Maneuver trucks safely into loading or unloading positions and check that vehicle and loading equipment are properlypositioned.- Collect delivery instructions from Dispatch, verifying instructions and routes.- Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.- Report and document vehicle defects (DVIR), accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles to your supervisor.- Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading as needed to comply with state and federal regulations.- Safely drive trucks to transport and deliver products.- Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.- Operate equipment, such as Samsung tablets, Samsara Driver App (Global tracking and electronic driver logs), Cargas,and cell phones, to exchange necessary information with dispatch, supervisors, or other drivers.- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid, changing fuses or lights.- Collect bills of lading (If applicable) or shipping papers and submit them to the office.- Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.- Read and interpret directions and maps to follow vehicle route issued by Dispatch.- Safely load and unload trucks, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-relatedequipment on vehicles, and using other equipment as necessary.- Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.- Immediately report truck maintenance issues to your supervisor.- Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times.- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).- Perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, tire chains, or fuses.- Obtain and maintain required CETP certification through the Propane Education & Research Council and Texas RailroadCommission certification (if based in Texas).- Daily interaction with customers, providing exceptional customer service by supplying service information andanswering inquiries.- Check conditions of trailers after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage.- Couple or uncouple trailers by changing trailer jack positions, connecting, or disconnecting air or electrical lines, ormanipulating fifth-wheel locks.- Crank trailer landing gear up or down to safely secure vehicles.- Accurately and thoroughly relay gallon total delivered to dispatch before leaving customer location.- Email bill of lading paperwork with delivery location written on bill of lading to [e-mail].## Qualifications**Competency Statement(s)**- Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.**SKILLS & ABILITIES**Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)**Experience:** Three years related experience**Computer Skills**: Basic**Certificates & Licenses**Class A CDL with HAZMAT and TANKER endorsements**Other Requirements**: Basic reading, writing, and math skills**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**Stand F (Frequently)Walk F (Frequently)Sit F (Frequently)Handling F (Frequently)Reach Above Shoulder F (Frequently)Climb F (Frequently)Squat or Kneel F (Frequently)Bend F (Frequently)N (Not Applicable) Activity is not applicable to this occupation.O (Occasionally) Occupation requires this activity up to 33% of the time (0 - 2.5+ hrs/day)F (Frequently) Occupation requires this activity from 33% - 66% of the time (2.5 - 5.5+ hrs/day)C (Constantly) Occupation requires this activity more than 66% of the time (5.5+ hrs/day)**WORK ENVIRONMENT**Drivers generally work outside and travel to different job sites each day.
