Butch’s Propane LLC is seeking a professional propane delivery driver. The role requires transporting propane safely, inspecting vehicles, and performing basic tank installations as needed.

You will use Samsara and company tablets to coordinate deliveries and maintain logs. Candidates should hold a Class A or B CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements, have a minimum of three years driving experience, and be capable of lifting up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain driver logs and communicate with dispatch.
  • Interact with customers and provide service information.

## Description**POSITION SUMMARY**Drive a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Required to install propane tanks and deliver propane to residential and commercial customers in a safe and efficient manner. Requires a class A or B commercial drivers' license (depending on position) with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements.**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – ALL DRIVER POSITIONS****Essential Functions Statement(s)*** Check vehicles pre and post trip to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order (DVIRs).* Maneuver trucks safely into loading or unloading positions and check that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.* Collect delivery instructions from Dispatch, verifying instructions and routes.* Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.* Report and document vehicle defects (DVIR), accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles to your supervisor.* Drive trucks to weigh stations before and after loading as needed to comply with state and federal regulations.* Safely drive trucks to transport and deliver products.* Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.* Operate equipment, such as Samsung tablets, Samsara Driver App (Global tracking and electronic driver logs), Cargas, and cell phones, to exchange necessary information with dispatch, supervisors, or other drivers.* Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid, changing fuses or lights.* Collect bills of lading (If applicable) or shipping papers and submit them to the office.* Check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.* Read and interpret directions and maps to follow vehicle route issued by Dispatch.* Safely load and unload trucks, or help others with loading and unloading, operating any special loading-related equipment on vehicles, and using other equipment as necessary.* Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods.* Immediately report truck maintenance issues to your supervisor.* Maintain a clean and tidy work area at all times.* Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).* Perform emergency roadside repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, tire chains, or fuses.* Obtain and maintain required CETP certification through the Propane Education & Research Council and Texas Railroad Commission certification (if based in Texas).* Daily interaction with customers, providing exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries.* Safely secure various sizes of propane tanks from 20lbs to 10,000 gallons for transport.* Check conditions of trailers after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage.* Remove debris from loaded trailers.* Full installation and/or tank swap out for customers as needed.* Perform basic plumbing tasks for installation or swapping of tanks.* Perform duties on frac sites while following the rules of each location.* Safely operate crane in accordance with OSHA regulations.## QualificationsPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS Competency Statement(s) • Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)Experience: Three years related experience Computer Skills: BasicCertificates & Licenses Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT and TANKER endorsementsOther Requirements: Basic reading, writing, and math skillsPHYSICAL DEMANDS Stand F (Frequently) Walk F (Frequently) Sit F (Frequently) Handling F (Frequently) Reach Above Shoulder F (Frequently) Climb F (Frequently) Squat or Kneel F (Frequently) Bend F (Frequently) Lift/Carry 51-100 lbs Push/Pull 41-100 lbs N (Not Applicable) Activity is not applicable to this occupation.
