Job summary

Freedom Ag and Energy Cooperative is seeking a Service Tech to install, maintain, and repair propane and/or oil burning systems at customer sites in Mountain Lake Park, MD. You will work with modern equipment and provide usage instructions to customers, ensuring safety and reliability.

The role requires 2+ years of HVAC experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and relevant licenses/certifications. CDL-A and HazMat/Tanker endorsements are often needed, with benefits including competitive wages

Qualifications

• Requires two or more years of experience with propane or oil-based heating systems.
• Education: high school diploma or GED.
• Licenses vary by location; HVAC, LP gas fitter, and propane certification required.
• CDL Class A and HazMat/Tanker endorsements required or ability to obtain.
• Experience with diesel and gasoline equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of propane and/or oil burning systems, HVAC units, equipment, and appliances.
• May repair and maintain diesel or gasoline tanks and equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctions by gathering information and troubleshooting systems.
• Provide usage instructions for all serviced equipment and appliances.
• Review account details, collect payments or provide invoices, and confirm future service with customers.
• Load and deliver propane or other fuels where required by location.
