Job summary

Northern Partners Cooperative is seeking an Energy Delivery Specialist to safely transport propane, fuels and energy products to customers across the service territory. The role requires a CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, and related certifications, with a daytime shift in IL.

The position entails loading, unloading, inspecting vehicles, documenting tickets, providing excellent customer service, and supporting on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold CDL with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
• DOT medical certification required and maintained.
• Experience in energy delivery or fuel transport preferred but not required.
• On-the-job training provided for qualified candidates.
• Strong problem solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport and deliver propane, fuels, and energy products to customers.
• Operate trucks, pumps, meters, valves, hoses and related equipment safely.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Verify product type, quantity and delivery location; complete tickets and records accurately.
• Provide professional customer service while representing the cooperative.
• Assist with installation and servicing of tanks, pumps, meters and related equipment.
• Maintain vehicle, equipment and work area cleanliness and safety.
• Report safety concerns and perform basic preventive maintenance as directed.
• Follow OSHA, DOT, FMCSA, IDOT and safety procedures; use PPE.
• Support other Energy Department staff and adapt to daily operational needs.
• Work extended hours, weekends/holidays, and participate in on-call rotation.
