Job summary

Sunrise Cooperative Inc. is seeking an Energy Driver to safely transport and deliver propane and liquid fuels to residential, commercial, and agricultural customers.

You will operate and maintain delivery equipment in compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role requires a Class A CDL with medical card and Hazmat endorsement (or ability to obtain within 6 months), physical capability to lift 50 pounds, and the flexibility for varying hours.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation.
• Ability to work long varied hours/days as business dictates.
• Must obtain or currently hold a Class A CDL with medical card and Hazmat endorsement within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, transport, and deliver propane, bulk oils and/or liquid fuels to customer locations.
• Operate bobtail or tanker delivery trucks in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards.
• Attach hoses, ground tanks, fill fuel vessels properly, and follow safety protocols to prevent spills or overfills.
• Handle pumps, valves, hoses, and fittings for loading/unloading propane or fuel.
• Inspect propane systems, monitor gauges, valves, and tank levels, and perform leak tests when required.
• Inspect vehicle and document on daily driver’s report.
• Perform routine maintenance of equipment and document work in maintenance log.
• Accurately complete delivery tickets, logs, meter readings, inspection forms, and receipts.
• Keep assigned vehicles, equipment and work areas clean.
• Adhere to company and government policies on transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous products.
• Assist in repairs of facilities and equipment.
• Finish paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Provide outstanding customer service and maintain a customer-friendly environment.
