Job summary

Superior Plus Propane in Hendersonville, NC is seeking a Local Fuel Delivery Driver to ensure safe, timely propane deliveries to customers. You will load and unload propane, maintain vehicle, and use technology to track inventory and print tickets.

A strong safety mindset and regular vehicle inspections are essential. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, and a current DOT medical certificate.

Responsibilities

• Transfer, load and deliver propane to customers using bulk trucks, tanks and/or cylinders.
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology to monitor propane inventory, tank levels and print delivery tickets; accurately record and submit daily driver reports.
• Maintain equipment to safety standards and conduct pre/post vehicle inspections and site inspections as required.
• Collaborate with Dispatcher for routing and scheduling; report issues promptly to supervision.
• May be required to work overtime; perform other duties as assigned.

The Local Fuel Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of propane to ourcustomers. The Delivery Driver will deliver, load and unload propane while providing exceptional customer service. Our Delivery Drivers are also accountable for upholding the highest standards for safety in the delivery and handling of propane and for conducting regular vehicle inspections and maintenance.

What you’ll do:

• Transfer, collect, load and deliver propane, product to and from containers (bulk truck, tanks and/or cylinders) for customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
• Leverage technology where available to: Monitor and track the transfer of propane inventory, tank levels and container sizing; accurately record and print delivery tickets for customers for product delivered; accurately complete and submit daily driver report where necessary.
• Maintain equipment to the highest level of safety standards, reporting any mechanical issues to the Fleet Manager/Dispatcher. Conduct and, if applicable document, pre and post vehicle inspections, site inspections and visual tank inspections.
• Collaborate with the Dispatcher frequently for routing and scheduling information. Notify the dispatcher of any product, customer, routing, scheduling or safety issues immediately to obtain their guidance and instruction on how to resolve the issue or situation.
• Employees may be required to work overtime hours when business needs require it.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you bring:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum of 1 year delivery driver experience
• CDL Class B with Tanker and Hazmat endorsement
• Current DOT medical certification
• Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

Flex Schedule:

6 months on, 6 months off OR 7 months on 5 months off
