Job summary

Ferrellgas is seeking a dependable full-time Propane Delivery Driver in Taneytown, MD to load, transport, and unload cylinders on local routes. A CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements is preferred, with a strong focus on safety and customer service. The role emphasizes on-time deliveries and regulatory compliance.

You will operate with a safety-first mindset, interact with customers, and maintain records while supporting sales initiatives and after-hours emergency deliveries as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least two years of work-related experience.
• Class B CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements preferred.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and TSA background check.
• Clean driving record as evidenced by MVR.
• Fluent English (speaking, writing, and understanding).
• Commitment to superior customer service.
• Authorization to work in the United States; sponsorship not required.

Responsibilities

• Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane to and from destinations.
• Inspects vehicle and reports needed maintenance.
• Fills cylinders as required.
• Maintains records per regulations and procedures.
• Operates truck according to safety procedures.
• Interacts with customers to provide information and service.
• Participates in on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend deliveries.
• Ensures customer site safety and DOT compliance.
• Assists with sales initiatives and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane to and from specified destinations.
• Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
• Fills cylinders as required.
• Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.
• Operates truck in accordance to established safety procedures.
• Engages in daily interaction with customers and provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquires.
• Performs responsibilities in on-call rotation for after hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response.
• Ensures customer site is compliant with safety regulations and company policies.
• Ensures all DOT requirements are met at all times.
• Assists with sales initiatives.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to plant/yard maintenance or dock work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• At least two years of work-related experience
• Class B CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements preferred.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check.
• Must have clean driving record as evidenced by current Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Demonstrated drive, determination, professionalism, and the desire to be a significant factor in growing our business.
• Ability to quickly learn, operate, and maintain hand held computer.
• Proficient in speaking, writing, and understanding the English language.
• Genuine commitment to providing superior Customer Service.
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
