Lakes Gas is a family-owned propane provider with 60+ locations across the Midwest, offering a local, community-driven feel and a stable, winning team. This role is a local delivery driver position with a Class B CDL, hazmat and tanker endorsements, and a DOT medical card, responsible for safe, on-time propane deliveries and top-notch customer service.

As a driver, you will operate in outdoor conditions, maintain equipment, and support plant maintenance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements (or ability to obtain) without air brake restrictions.
• A clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report.
• Must pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card.
• Must read, write, and communicate in English clearly.
• Must comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Safety conscious and customer service oriented.
• Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets.
• Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of needed maintenance.
• DOT Hazmat Training and Maintenance every three years.
• Maintains compliance with all DOT requirements.

Come join our winning team as a Delivery Driver!

This is a local route, home every night, Class B CDL position. Primary responsibilities include delivering propane, propane tanks and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing first in class customer service. CDL candidates must possess a minimum of a class B commercial driver’s license with tanker and hazardous endorsements (or the ability to obtain requisite endorsements) and must carry a DOT medical examiner’s card. CDL candidate needs to be safety conscious, have a strong mechanical aptitude and good driving skills. This position requires working in outdoor weather conditions. Additional duties include but are not limited to the maintenance and upkeep of company and customer equipment, and plant maintenance activities.
