Job summary

Ergon, Inc. is seeking a Bobtail Driver based in Gardendale, AL. You’ll deliver propane to residential and industrial customers on local routes, returning home nightly. On-call rotations may be required for after-hours and weekend emergencies.

Qualifications

• CDL (Class A or B) with Hazmat & Tanker preferred – or can obtain them quickly.
• Clean driving record
• High School diploma or GED
• Physically able to lift 60 lbs in all weather conditions
• Truck experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, transport, and deliver propane safely
• Provide outstanding customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries
• Inspects vehicle and notify supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance
• Maintain compliance with all DOT requirements
• Assist the service crew in setting tanks
• Communicate any issues or maintenance needs
• Additional duties may be assigned by management as needed.
