Job summary

Based in Huntsville, AL, Ergon, Inc. is seeking a Bobtail Driver to deliver propane to residential and industrial customers on local routes. This full-time role keeps drivers home each night, with potential after-hours rotations for emergencies.

The ideal candidate holds a CDL (A or B) with Hazmat & Tanker preferred, has a clean driving record, and is physically able to lift 60 lbs. Prior truck experience is welcome but not required.

Qualifications

• CDL (Class A or B) with Hazmat & Tanker preferred – or can obtain them quickly.
• Clean driving record.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Physically able to lift 60 lbs in all weather conditions.
• Truck experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, transport, and deliver propane safely.
• Provide outstanding customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries.
• Inspect vehicle and notify supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
• Maintain compliance with all DOT requirements.
• Assist the service crew in setting tanks.
• Communicate any issues or maintenance needs.
• Additional duties may be assigned by management as needed.
