Job summary

Sierra Propane is seeking a qualified propane delivery driver to join our team in California. You will load, transport, and deliver propane safely, maintain vehicle inspections, and work with dispatch and service teams to meet daily goals.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A or B with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
• Driving record meets company insurance requirements.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and pull up to 125 lbs in any weather.
• Willing to work on-call and outside regular hours.
• Commitment to following safety procedures without exception.

Responsibilities

• Load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload propane products safely.
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, DOT, and company safety requirements.
• Inspect vehicles and report maintenance or equipment needs promptly.
• Provide professional, courteous service at every customer location.
• Work collaboratively with service and dispatch teams to support operational goals.
• Participate in on-call rotations, including extended or after-hours work as business needs require.

What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days

• You’re consistently completing safe, on-time deliveries while following DOT, safety, and company standards.
• Customers recognize you as a reliable point of contact and trust you in their homes and facilities.
• Your truck inspections, paperwork, and electronic reporting are accurate and completed daily.
• You’re comfortable participating in the on-call rotation and communicating clearly when schedules change.

What You’ll Actually Do in Your First 30 Days

• Complete onboarding, safety training, and ride-alongs to learn EDP delivery routes and procedures
• Perform daily vehicle inspections (DDVIR) and document findings accurately
• Begin independent deliveries with support from dispatch and service teams
• Learn how we communicate with customers, handle after-hours calls, and escalte service needs appropriately

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Experience working directly with residential or commercial customers
• Familiarity with DOT inspections and compliance standards

Pay Rate: $28-$33 per hour (Depending on Experience)
