Job summary

Williams Lea is seeking a Proofreader for an on-site role at the RRD location in Columbus, OH. The position focuses on reviewing legal documents for grammar, spelling, and verbiage corrections, with attention to confidentiality and accuracy.

You will work Monday-Friday with shifts including 8am-5pm or 11am-8pm and on-site Tuesday and Thursday, supporting the Document Services team and ensuring quality across proofs and mark-ups. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English/Journalism preferred or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 1 year proofreading experience in legal, banking or large corporate environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint desired.
• Knowledge of a legal timekeeping or job tracking system is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
• Ability to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
• Must have good organizational skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential documents and information
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing
• Must be self-motivated with a positive attitude
• Proven customer service skills are required to maintain relationships

Additional Information

The salary for this role at the noted RRD location is $16.59/hour to $22.50/hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Typically, roles follow step progressions to a target rate or set increments over time. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and/or stand-by pay.
