Responsibilities

• Design multi-turn dialogue flows for voice and text agents
• Define agent personality and tone and maintain consistency across the agent family
• Write, version, and maintain system prompts, conversational flows, and reusable templates
• Build harnesses and scripts for prompt testing
• Test prompts using real recordings, transcripts, and simulations before and after launch
• Identify hallucinations, incorrect tone, dead ends, and token waste in live interactions
• Iterate on prompts and close quality gaps
• Partner with product managers to translate requirements and priorities into agent behavior
• Work with engineers to integrate prompts within technical constraints
• Support compliance and privacy obligations
• Share findings to improve practices across teams

Requirements

• Based in Austin, TX and able to work in the downtown office a couple of days a week
• Able to commute into Austin 2–3 times per week
• Real working-hours overlap with Austin and Israel
• Roughly 1–2 years of hands‑on prompt engineering experience
• Evidence of designing and building AI systems, not only assessing or rating AI output
• Sufficient technical ability to build tools and discuss integrations and constraints with engineers
• Strong language, writing, and communication skills
• Familiarity with LLM APIs such as OpenAI and Anthropic
• Familiarity with conversational frameworks such as LangChain
• Excellent linguistic skills with attention to tone, clarity, and cultural sensitivity
• Basic programming skills, preferably Python, for testing and prompt prototyping
• Strong cross-functional partnership and communication skills
• Background in healthtech, hardware, healthcare, caregiving, or other regulated industries is a nice‑to‑have
• Multilingual proficiency is a nice‑to‑have
• Experience with voice agent tools such as VAPI is a nice‑to‑have
