Job description

Position Summary

NASCAR is seeking energetic and self-motivated individuals interested in gaining practice and experience in the motorsports industry. This position supports the Daytona International Speedway Event Experience and Marketing departments through onsite event activations and grassroots initiatives. Promo Team members will represent Daytona International Speedway at community events and race day responsibilities, assisting in promoting the brand and engaging with fans. This is a temporary seasonal position with hours dependent on the event schedule.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks

• Represent NASCAR and Daytona International Speedway at local and regional events.
• Interact enthusiastically with the public, educating them on Daytona's history, information, and ticket opportunities.
• Organize and manage department assets such as promotional materials, giveaways, signage, equipment, and display/promo vehicles.
• Assist in setting up and tearing down displays at community events, including managing the Show Car and Promo Car.
• Engage proactively with fans to generate leads for marketing campaigns and promote brand growth.
• Become an expert on Daytona International Speedway products and services.
• Assist with various Event Experience activations during the 2024 season, including the Daytona 500.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Currently residing in Volusia County or surrounding areas.
• Clean driving record; must meet company vehicle driving standards.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License.
• Post high school education or equivalent experience.
• Exceptional work ethic, eagerness to learn, and a passion for motorsports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor; attire includes event shirts and professional clothing such as black or khaki pants and comfortable shoes.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled, meeting minimum scheduling requirements.
• Availability for onsite events on specified dates and at least 2 grassroots events per month.

Special Position Requirements

• May require some out-of-town travel with expenses covered by the company.
• Position involves working with the official Promo Car, promotional giveaways, interactive games, and prospecting. Applicants should be sales-driven, punctual, hardworking, and eager to learn NASCAR.
