Description

Under the direction of the Place-Based Partnerships Manager, the School-Based Site Coordinator is responsible for coordination of the delivery of community-based programs and services to students and families at E.P. Todd Elementary School. The Site Coordinator will provide scheduling, logistical and infrastructure support to implement the programming components as outlined in the Southside Promise Blueprint. This role will work closely with families and students to ensure attendance, recruitment, and retention in programs and services offered by community partners.The chosen candidate will be based at E.P. Todd Elementary School and is expected to be on-site each day, with occasional exceptions.

Essential DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the planning, coordination, scheduling, and implementation of all Southside Promise Blueprint initiative activities within the assigned school site and local community.
  • Provide support for school-based, community, and partnering organization programming year-round, to include scheduled school breaks, as needed.
  • Participate in community and school events as a representative of the Southside Promise Blueprint.
  • Provide on-site leadership and support during Southside Promise Blueprint initiative programming.
  • Serve as a resource to teachers in obtaining necessary services and programs that tie into instructional learning.
  • Solicit parent, teacher, and community input regarding student and parent educational needs.
  • Responsible for successful recruitment and retention of students and parents into program offerings, specifically the evidence-based Strengthening Families program.
  • Assist in data collection and assessment processes.
  • Work with school personnel and initiative partners to select and prepare facility locations to conduct programs.
  • Cultivate relationships and partnerships with community programs to bring needed services to assigned school site.
  • Work with community-based navigators to identify the needs of students and families and align resources offered within the assigned school site.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include occasional nights and weekends.
Qualifications

Education and ExperienceRequirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with studies in education, social work, public administration, social work, psychology, human services, or a related field.
  • Experience working with diverse populations.
  • Experience as an educator, social worker, community health worker, case manager, counselor, or community engagement is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders including families, community partners, and educators.
  • Strong familiarity with the school community and the systems they impact.
  • Proven ability to coordinate, schedule, be self-motivated, and plan appropriate programming that ties into programmatic outcomes and goals.
  • Excellent recordkeeping, data analysis, and report preparation skills.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Connections to community resources and institutions is a plus.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
