Job summary

Mercor is assembling a panel of nuclear materials and safeguards experts to red-team frontier AI models. You will write prompts at three levels—benign, dual-use, and adversarial—and evaluate model responses against a policy standard.

You will also craft the reference answer and the technical rationale for each decision. Background in export control, treaty implementation, or programme analysis is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience distinguishing routine professional questions from sensitive inquiries.
• Ability to articulate clear, written rationales for decisions for non-specialists.
• Prior technical writing, published research, or expert witness experience is valued.

Responsibilities

• Write challenging single-turn prompts across three levels: benign, dual-use, and adversarial.
• Evaluate model responses against policy standards and judge handling accuracy.
• Draft reference answers and technical reasoning explaining the decisions.
