Job summary

bp is seeking a Projects Quality Engineer in Indiana/Greater Chicago area to lead end-to-end quality assurance across engineering, procurement, supplier manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and turnover. You will drive proactive risk-based quality planning, supplier quality execution, and engineering contractor oversight to ensure deliverables meet bp requirements and standards.

The role interfaces with Engineering, Procurement, Suppliers, and Construction to ensure Right First Time

Qualifications

End-to-end quality assurance across project phases and interfaces.
Experience with supplier quality management, audits, and supplier qualifications.
Knowledge of inspection and test plans, NCRs, CAPA, and surveillance activities.

Responsibilities

Review supplier quality requirements, deviations, and corrective actions.
Develop and apply Purchase Order Quality Requirements (POQRs) based on risk.
Oversee supplier qualification and AVL processes per quality management standards.
Perform risk-based reviews of supplier/contractor quality plans, procedures, and ITPs.
Coordinate third-party inspection services and review inspection reports/NCRs.
Support package management from manufacture to turnover and equipment release.
