• Willingness to travel between Indianapolis-area facilities.
• Bakery production equipment experience preferred.

Overview

The Project Maintenance Technician is responsible for supporting special projects by installing, repairing, rebuilding, and improving production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations in a bakery manufacturing environment. This hands‑on role requires experience in welding, fabrication, electrical wiring, machine rebuilding, PLC troubleshooting, and interpreting technical prints and schematics to complete equipment upgrades and maintenance projects.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of proven experience in a maintenance role within the food manufacturing or similar industry
• Proficient in welding and fabricating with various materials
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in machine rebuilding
• Knowledge of PLC systems and troubleshooting techniques
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints and schematics
• Proficient in NEC regulations and NFPA 70E standards
• Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including troubleshooting and repair
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively and with little supervision
• Able to travel between facilities in the Indianapolis Area
• Certifications in a related field (e.g., Welding, PLC, Hydraulics, Electrical) preferred
• Experience with bakery production equipment is a plus
• Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices in a food manufacturing setting preferred
