Job summary

JBS USA in Grand Island, Nebraska is seeking a Project Coordinator for general duties coordinating contractors, managing construction of new or redesigned plant areas, and ensuring projects meet schedule, budget and specifications.

You will lead design and layout planning, obtain bids, assign staff, maintain records, attend meetings, and communicate across maintenance, purchasing, production and storerooms.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or mechanical contracting, or building trades.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; CAD drafting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contractors for new or redesigned plant areas, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and to-spec completion.
• Lead design, planning, and development of project layouts.
• Obtain competitive bids for future projects.
• Assign personnel and maintain project records.
• Attend meetings and communicate with maintenance, purchasing, production, storeroom, and other departments involved with projects.
• Manage Capital Planning budgets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description

• Coordinate efforts of contractors involved with finishing construction of new or redesigned areas for plant facility while managing projects being on time, on budget and to specification.
• Lead efforts pertaining to designing, planning, and developing the layout of special projects.
• Obtain competitive bids for future projects.
• Assign necessary personnel to designated areas for completion of projects.
• Arrange to have appropriate records prepared and maintained.
• Attend meetings as needed or called.
• Frequent communication with maintenance, purchasing, production, storeroom, and other departments involved with any aspect of projects.
• Perform various other duties as needed or assigned.
• Establishing budget for Capital Planning
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous Experience in construction, mechanical contract work, or any building trades.
• Computer Skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, and CAD drafting programs.

SAP Experience Preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and coordinate large projects.
• Ability to work in areas with exposure to slippery floors, extreme temperature variations, loud noise, chemicals, sharp objects (knives), machinery, and vehicles
• Work 40+ hours per week in office and plant facilities, or as needed.
