H2M architects + engineers, a multidisciplinary architectural, engineering, and environmental consulting firm, is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Water Resources team at our Melville, NY office.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Involvement in and supervision of water planning, design, and construction engineering projects.
  2. Coordination with other engineering and architecture departments within the firm.
  3. Preparation of construction drawings and specifications for public bidding.
  4. Building relationships and communicating directly with clients to support and coordinate all project activities.
  5. Ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality client and technical delivery of all project requirements.
  6. Production, scheduling, quality control, standardization, and supervision of junior staff.
  7. Technology implementation, financial performance, cost proposals, and project financial management.
  8. Experience with CBS (Chemical Bulk Storage) and Petroleum Bulk Storage (PBS).
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of water resources or related consulting and design experience.
  • Strong client relations and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to mentor and supervise junior staff.
  • Wastewater project design and construction experience is a plus.
  • PE certification is highly desirable.

The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 annually. The employment offer may vary from this range based on experience, specialization, knowledge, education, location, and certifications. The salary or rate does not include other compensation or benefits.
