Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Raleigh, NC for a Project & Utility Coordinator at APC Towers. This position will specialize in data entry, with a focus on coordinating new utility services. The ideal candidate will support project management efforts by managing related data and ensuring all necessary documentation and processes are followed for successful service initiation. This role requires a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented individual to help streamline utility setup, project documentation, and ongoing management tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry and Management:
- Accurately enter, update, and maintain data related to new site builds into utility tracking systems.
- Ensure the integrity and completeness of utility service records, updating them as necessary and flagging any missing or incorrect information.
- Maintain organized, easy-to-access records for all utility service setups, ensuring information is up to date and compliant with project timelines.
New Service Coordination:
- Act as the primary point of contact for coordinating the setup of new utility services (water, electricity, fiber, gas, etc.) for new projects or sites.
- Collaborate with utility providers, vendors, and internal teams to initiate, track, and confirm service requests, ensuring timely connection and activation.
- Monitor progress and ensure all prerequisites for service installations (e.g., site readiness, approvals, permits) are met and documented.
- Work with project managers and relevant stakeholders to ensure utility services are synchronized with project schedules and milestones.
- Liaison between project teams, utility service providers, and contractors to facilitate the smooth setup of utility services.
Utility Management:
- Support the coordination and tracking of utility consumption, billing, and reporting for new services, ensuring all new connections are captured accurately.
- Maintain a detailed log of utility accounts and service statuses, monitoring new service setups and ensuring no gaps in service delivery.
- Track service initiation timelines and escalate any delays or issues in the utility connection process to management.
Project Coordination:
- Assist with the scheduling and execution of key tasks for ongoing projects, ensuring the timely activation of new utility services.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, utility requirements, and timelines.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Prepare reports on utility service setup status, identifying any bottlenecks or delays in the new service coordination process.
- Provide accurate data on utility usage and cost projections for new services to assist in project budget planning and resource allocation.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Ensure that all utility-related documentation is properly archived, including contracts, installation records, and service agreements for future reference and compliance.
- Track and report on regulatory requirements related to new utility services, ensuring all necessary permits and licenses are acquired before service activation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data entry, with a strong focus on utility management or project coordination.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, with the ability to manage large datasets.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple utility service setups concurrently.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise effectively with vendors, utility providers, and internal teams.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, stay organized, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in coordinating new utility services (e.g., Electricity and Fiber Optics).
- Familiarity with utility management software or systems.
- Knowledge of utility installation processes, permits, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to troubleshoot common issues related to data entry and utility setups while contributing as a problem-solver when delays or complications arise.
