Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology seeks a Project/Task Senior Manager to oversee Army IT programs at Fort Huachuca, AZ. You will provide technical and operational oversight, drive program success through planning, resource coordination, and client liaison, and ensure adherence to cost, schedule, and performance goals.

The role requires 10–15 years in IT, DoD policy knowledge, a Secret DoD clearance, and certifications (IAT II, ITIL v4, PMI PMP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s preferred.
• 10–15 years of IT experience.
• Secret security clearance; US citizenship required.
• DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II Certification; ITIL v4 Foundation within 6 months; PMI PMP preferred.
• Fort Huachuca, AZ location; full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and operational oversight to the program team, drive project success via planning, resource coordination, and client liaison.
• Collaborate with resource managers and vendors to secure reviews/approvals and synchronize requirements with the Government client.
• Develop technical project plans, proposals, and reports; conduct planning and workload recommendations to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals.
• Leverage Army Enterprise LWN capabilities and DoD/Army cybersecurity policies; apply Change Management processes.

PROJECT/TASK SR MANAGER

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Project/Task Senior Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the U.S. Army. You will play a crucial role in the design, development, engineering, integration, and technical and operational support to employ specified NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and Deployed Forces (DF) portion of the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN).

• Manage the successful execution of complex tasks by providing technical and operational oversight to the program team, driving project success through planning, resource coordination, and client liaison, and resolving challenges to maintain adherence to cost, schedule, and performance goals.
• Collaborate with resource managers/supervisors to ensure all necessary reviews and approvals are received; vendors, subcontractors, and other agencies as the primary client liaison; and the Government client to assist in synchronizing requirements throughout the project lifecycle within cost, schedule, and performance parameters.
• Drive project success and mission effectiveness by developing technical project plans, proposals, and reports, conducting planning, and providing recommendations on task workload. The role resolves challenges by assisting the Government in synchronizing requirements and identifying any issues in project meetings to maintain adherence to cost, schedule, and performance.
• Utilize an in-depth understanding of Army Enterprise LWN capabilities, tools, and operational constructs; expertise in DoD and Army Cybersecurity Policies (e.g., AR 25-2, AR 25-1); and proficiency in Change Management processes.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (Masters preferred)
• Experience: 10 – 15 years of experience in the information technology field
• Technical skills: Current understanding of Army Enterprise LWN capabilities, tools, and operational constructs; working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Project, and Microsoft Visio.
• Security clearance level: Secret
• US citizenship required
• Role requirements: DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II Certification. ITIL v4 Foundation Certification within 6 months. PMI PMP certification desired.
• This role is a full‑time position located at Fort Huachuca, AZ
