L.A. Stevens & Associates, Inc. is a well-established land surveying firm in California seeking a California Licensed Land Surveyor (PLS / Survey Party Chief) to join as a Project Surveyor in the Bay Area.

The role involves research, fieldwork, and office tasks with opportunities to lead projects and collaborate with the Principal Land Surveyor. Occasional overtime is required and state licensure is preferred or pursued if relocating.

Formación

• Must be able to lift loads and work around poison oak.
• Clean driving record as per state DMV report.
• Willing to locate to CA and obtain licensure if not already held.

Responsabilidades

• Perform research, field and office surveying tasks.
• Lead project work and coordinate with the Principal Land Surveyor.
• Produce boundaries, ALTA surveys, topographic mapping and staking.

L.A. Stevens & Associates, Inc. is located in Novato, Marin County, California. Approaching thirty years doing business throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, L.A. Stevens & Associates, Inc. is a well-established professional Land Surveying firm seeking a California Licensed Land Surveyor (PLS / Survey Party Chief) interested in working as a Project Surveyor. California licensure is preferable. However, licensed surveyors wishing to relocate to California and obtain California licensure will be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for research, field, and office work.
• Professionalism with a responsible and ambitious work ethic, willing to lead.
• Work closely with the Principal Land Surveyor responsible for the work.
• Work produced by L.A. Stevens & Associates, Inc. includes simple & complex boundaries, land title surveys (ALTA), topographic mapping, least squares, adjustments, monitoring, forensic, GPS, Elevation Certificates, map preparation, legal descriptions, and construction staking.

Requirements:

• Must be able to lift loads of 40+ pounds and be able to work in and around poison oak.
• Will be operating one of our company vehicles and must have a clean driving record as reported by the Department of Motor Vehicles of the State in which the applicant’s driver’s license is issued.
• Noting the Principal of our firm is called upon as an Expert Witness in cases involving boundary disputes, one must welcome the art of finding and documenting old wood hub boundary corners and other boundary evidence for litigation.
• Overtime will be required based on project needs.

Must be proficient and demonstrate skill in the following areas

• AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• MS Office Suite.
• Written and Verbal Communication.
• Hearing and speech skills to effectively communicate in English in person and over the telephone or two-way radio.
