Job summary

Licensed Land Surveyor (PLS / Survey Chief)

L.A. Stevens & Associates, Inc. is located in Novato, Marin County, California. Approaching thirty years doing business throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, L.A. Stevens & Associates, Inc. is a well-established professional Land Surveying firm seeking a Licensed Land Surveyor (PLS or Survey Party Chief) interested in working as a Project Surveyor. California licensure is preferable. However, licensed surveyors wishing to relocate to California and obtain California licensure will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for research, field, and office work.
• Work closely with the Principle Land Surveyor responsible for the work.
• Produce work that includes simple & complex boundaries, land title surveys (ALTA), topographic mapping, least squares, adjustments, monitoring, forensic, GPS, elevation certificates, map preparation, legal descriptions, and construction staking.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift loads of 40+ pounds and be able to work in and around poison oak.
• Will be operating one of our company vehicles and must have a clean driving record as reported by the Department of Motor Vehicles of the State in which the applicant’s driver's license is issued.
• Must be proficient and demonstrate skill in the following areas:
  • MS Office Suite.
  • Written and Verbal Communication.
