WSP is seeking a Project Supply Chain Manager to join a project team on site at construction sites nationwide. The role focuses on SCM, material management, inventory control, and logistics across multiple project sites in the United States.

You will supervise material storage activities, analyze inventory and optimize flows, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to ensure safe, efficient project execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5–7 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Experience in a management role supervising personnel.
  • 3–5 years quantifiable experience in Project Management.
  • 3–5 years quantifiable experience in Supply Chain Management practices.
  • General knowledge of the power delivery industry.
  • Proficient in the Office 365 suite with emphasis in Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage material storage site activity on projects.
  • Coordinate flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers.
  • Conduct inventory counts and reconciliation with records.
  • Analyze inventory levels and coordinate with production and sales needs.
  • Manage inbound/outbound logistics including warehousing and transportation.

Job description

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Supply Chain Manager. The candidate selected for this position will work as a member of a Project Team on site at one of our projects nationally. This role primarily operates in Construction environments supporting the execution of construction activities. This is a heavy travel role working on project sites throughout the United States.

This Opportunity

The purpose of the Supply Chain Manager is to directly supervise and manage material storage site(s) activity on a WSP project where we are providing SCM and/or Material Management services. The role will be accountable for the operations at one (1) or multiple sites ensuring the 3C's (Care, Custody, and Control) are maintained over safeguarded material. Additionally, role will be responsible for conducting Project material-related analysis to provide insights and support the needs of the Project. Employees in this role will primarily work on location at the project construction sites.

Your Impact
  • Supply Chain Management
    • Performs supply chain and logistics functions, such as material/services procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution.
    • Coordinates and integrates the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers
  • Inventory Control
    • Ensures that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel
    • Maintains controls over various types of inventories (e.g., raw materials, subassemblies, finished goods)
    • Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records
    • Ensures that quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct
    • Conducts analyses of inventory levels, and coordinates with production and sales requirements
    • Coordinates inbound and outbound logistical operations including inventory management, warehousing, and transportation to ensure sufficient supply of goods and products
  • Transportation Management
    • Analyzes transportation and distribution systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and economical delivery of the organization's products
  • Analytics
    • Conduct detailed analysis of inventory in comparison to project needs (site, schedule).
  • Physical Components of the Role
    • Must be able to stand for multiple hours on a rocked surface.
    • Must be able to walk over 10,000 steps a day on a rocked surface.
    • Must be able to lift, carry, and/or manipulate materials weighing up to 50lbs.
    • Must be willing to spot equipment on the yard during operations, traveling to/from storage locations, and loading of trucks with equipment.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Individual must have experience in a management role, managing, and fostering the development of personnel assigned to them.
  • 3-5 years quantifiable experience in Project Management.
  • 3-5 years quantifiable experience in Supply Chain Management practices.
  • General knowledge of the power delivery industry
  • Team members must be extremely proficient in the Office 365 suite of software, with an emphasis in Excel. Advanced Excel knowledge is beneficial.
  • Experience in collaborating on Projects as a value-added member
  • Role will be located at the Project Site (Nationwide) consisting of:
    • Onsite Work (Office, Field)
    • Remote: Based on needs of the Project
    • Travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Essential project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAP-M).
